renault grand scenic?

why does my clock,trip meter,fuel used,fuel left etc,re-set to zero every trip ?

to manually reset all these you woud need to press and hold for a few seconds the 2 buttons on the end of the wiper switch which you would usually use to flick through these options .. could they somehow be stuck in? failing that i have no idea
