faulty battery on honda cg 125?

Hi, i have just bought a 2002 honda cg125 and the battery has gone dead after 30mins of riding it now it wont even begin to start. Is there a chance it could be something more serious.

no mate try new battery but should start with bump put into second gear and turn key on the key give it a good push and jump on it should start ride it for about 5 miles but make sure you do not stop the bike until you get home again once your home switch it of and try to start without pushing if this works it does not need a new battery it just needs riding but do not use lights while doing this and if it doesnt work its the battery not holding its charge and it can be pretty expensive to replace

need to CHECK the CHARGING CIRCUIT charge the battery if possible(may be scrap due sulphated plates) start the engine ,with the engine running put a digital mutli meter(DMM) set on 20v DC Across the battery terminals should see 14.5v on a 12volt system 8.5V ON A 6VOLT System with ALL electrical things turned ON anything less than the supply voltage be it a 12v or a 6v system then you have an ALTERNATOR problem can be with the regulator faulty, or may have slip ring brushes that are worn but this is not a major problem.
