Ariston Margherita AWD 12 S not running programme and flashing 7 times?

the programme dial continues to turn without running through programme has wet the washing but not washed through and red light is flashing 7 times before stopping and then starting flashing again

Sounds like it is time for a new eeprom, they cost £21+vat and about half an hour to fit.
