Trial an error method. Is the belt tightened with a lever or is it an electric clutch on PTO end of engine? I tore down an old Snapper without recording the location of the tightening pullies. I put them on in the wrong way. It took me half a day to figure out how they should go.
I could find no belt or wiring diagrams online. You will note that some pullies are "V" shaped for the narrow part of the belt. Other pullies are flat for the back (flat) side of the belt. On of the pullies is spring loaded. If a lever belt engage this pulley moves with lever. If electric clutch, this pulley is under full tension. I don't know what else to suggest. At times these get to be a "B..."
