My AEG OKO FAVORIT 5040 isn't working. I loaded it up, switched it on and all that is happening is the noise for it trying to fill with water. Turning the switch to different settings makes no difference and when I switch it off it still carries on. The only way to completely stop it is by turning off at the mains.

you have water in the base and the antiflood has operated.empty water from base by tipping it on its side then retry
