you could shorten the handle by reshaping the bottom ends and drilling new holes this would work but it a cheap and fast measure to keep you cutting it might last you bout 6 months but it gives you a chance

Certainly can. This machine is made under the Champion brand for Focus and manufacturer by Castel Garden/lawn-King. Find a dealer for that manufacturer and ask them to order part number 81006512/0 at a cost of around a tenner plus vat.
