diesel heater lamp on a petrol engine?good one.the warning light is the engine managment light.it means the computer has detected a fault in the engine mangement.code reading is the only way to discover what is failing and what to replace.any good independant garage will do the reading for u.

posible short some where in the wiring check all the wires for cracks and just buy isolation tape and if any are bad looking just patch them its worth a try first
