When I hooked up the garden hose to the inlet hookup and turned the water on, then started the engine when i squeezed the trigger no water came out of the nozzle. It worked well last year and I checked the screen wheere the garden hose hooks to and it is clear. Any suggestions.

the most likely answer is that your nozzle is blocked at the end of the lance, this is very common after the machine has been idle for a few months. the best way to clean the nozzle is to straighten out a paper clip and push it down the nozzle.

The only suggestion that I have left is to take it into a shop so that the can tell you what the problem is. If you don't want to spend that type of money, replacing the pump yourself wil still cost a couple hundred dollars. What I would do is take it apart and look for anything that doesn't seem right. I mean if it isn't working then you can't do too much damage to it.

The 800 number is a joke. I stayed on the phone for over two hours and kept getting the same innocuous words that all reps were busy and stay on the line. Using Generac's web site email contact was also a joke. I am convinced I will never buy another product made by Generac or its affiliates. I am right now starting to search for Generac products and affiliates they may be tied to and earmarking them for passing on to friends and relatives.

If you run a pressure washer motor without water there is a high probability that you will ruin the pump. With only 5 hours on it I wouldn't think that the pump is ruined, but it is a possability. I have done some searching on it and find nothing with helping troubleshoot your problem. I did find an owners manual which has a 800 troubleshooting number that you can call for help. try giving it a go. Good luck.

Thank you Cholbach. I get no water in the sprayer at all whether it is on or off. any other suggestions would be appreciated. Let me ask a foolish question. If I start the briggs and stratton engine and no water comes through the high pressure hose sprayer whether the sprayer is on or off, what do I look for next? Is there a danger of ruining the pump that may already be ruined? I bought it 2 years ago and don't have 5 hours on it.

Start trouble shooting. Does water come out of the hose with the hose on? Remove sprayer and sprayer hose. Does water come out of the connection where the sprayer would be? Hook sprayer hose back on without sprayer. Does water come out of sprayer hose? Hook srpayer back on. Does water come out when fully assembled
