need to change belt on a piaggio nrg can not get nut off for rear clutch

hi i had this problem with my aprilia cuz it just kept spinning i got monkey grips and clamped it onto the bit just past the nut to stop it spinning held it really tight n undone the nut but put locktight on it when u do it bk up or will fly bk off
