does the engine management light have a reset button?

my peaugeot 106 independance engine management light came on.the problem was the cat which was renewed along with oxygen sensor but light stays on.does it have to be reset or should it go out by itself

no i dont think so,i have had the same problem,i got a new cat fitted, they did reset the engine management light, but it came back on twice ,the garage reset it again but 4 weeks later the light has just came back on,i have a diagnostic reader and it still comes up with the code 420 referring to the cat i dont know why this is ,i cannot reset this myself as it does not have that function

if the garage that did the diagnosis and changed the cat/lambda sensor didnt clear the codes im supprised.i tempted to think they missed the original fault.the light will not go out as long as there is a fault in the system.have it reread to see whats still in there(perhaps at a different garage?)oh and ask for the specific fault codes.it'll help here next post.
