Ford fiesta P reg running without oil?

I have been told that there is a cutout switch that protects the engine if this happens and it may need resetting, if this is the case I would like to know where the cutout switch is.
The car is a Ford Fiesta P reg with a Zetec engine

news to me.would be a great idea.definately fitted to some generators/industrial/construction eqp,but as far as i know all you have is an oil "pressure" switch, which, when that stays on when running its too late.Only messures psi not level's.Hope for your sake I'm wrong, but?
