Ford keys suffer badly from wear , the blocks on the key tips wear flat and dont open the lock barrels, if you take the key to any respectable key cutting shop they should be able to read the numbers and cut a new key for you , if you have a service book you may find a small sticker with the key number on it ,it will look something like this- T244151.
