Hi, just to add, I think 7a is one of the zones of the hob, the others being 7, b, c + d. A bit strange coding i know but ithink this is correct. Also, i would guess 7 and 7a are the center zone?

Mine too, it's driving me mad!!! It flashes and bleeps 7a constantly. Occasionally I can get it to turn on and the bleeping stops, but only if i'm lucky!
