BT STUDIO 1100 FLASHING BASE 1?

My trio of of phones were removed from the mains and ran flat. I cannot not get the handsets to say anything but "base 1". I have turned them off and on with no success. I have also removed the batteries after turning the handsets off and replaced them while holding the * button but with no success. I cannot get the setup menu on the phone to work..it simply says unavailable.

HELP! I have had no home phone for days and dont want to have to buy a new set if I can help it.

Thanks.

I got 2 of my handsets working with this but one died a week later (I kinda knew it was on it's way out poor thing).
Bought 2 replacements 2nd hand off the bay of e.
They weren't ringing in sync with each other and caller display not working, so I de-registered them all and re- registered.
Now just got 1 that is just flashing base 1 and tried unplugging base & holding green call button down several times but not working ........ help please.

Thank you, worked for my BT SYNERGY 3505 :-)

Thank you very much to Darren P. I did what you said and it didn't seem to work, was busy trying to read other answers and suddenly realised Base 1 was flashing no more and phone was back to normal. Cheers, I was minutes away from binning it!

Perfect nice1 mate. All 3 phones work now, saved me a trip back to the shop, hate returning stuff, switch main plug off, keep hold of call/green button on handset for about a minute, switch back on, works a treat.

Assad, October 2012
Switch off the mains power to the base station and HOLD the green talk/call button on the phone for about a minute then switch the base station power back on. Repeat for each phone. This fixed the problem for my BT Studio 1100.

Hi Darren, I've tried and works as you say BUT then when the phone is placed on the base to charge the baterry it keeps on bleeping driving us crazy! Any ideas of how to stop the bleeping. I've searched manuals and forums and not found anything. Thanks

Also many thanks from me. I'd just bought a replacement handset which I couldn't get to register until I saw these instructions. It's also saved me from having to buy a complete new phone set

Thanks Darren P - I was just about to go out and buy new phones !!! I had even found my original instruction book and this wasn't covered in that.

hi
I did everything as Darren says and in the final stage it displays search-1 and then goes to not reg without asking for pin. Any clues??

Ross,
make sure you press the 'Page' button on the original base even though you are setting the second handset.

I have a similar problem since moving house, but this approach still won't work on my handset and base. It searches and searches and comes up nor reg after a minute or so......

any ideas?

Ross, November 2008
Unplug the base unit
hold the page button and plug back in , keep hold of the page button until you hear 6 beeps. Now unplug the unit and plug back in without holding the page button. Now move onto the handset .
Remove one battery and replace it whilst holding down the menu button until you hear a beep, the screen will say TEST MODE,now press number 5 then menu, the screen now shows CLEARED, remove one battery then replace without holding any buttons the display will say NOT REG.
Now press page button on the base unit until 2 beeps are heard .
Press menu on the handset and it will say REGISTER, press menu and then scroll down to REG BASE, the screen says SELECT BASE 1234 press 1 .
the screen says SEARCH 1 wait and it will ask for PIN enter 0000 and press menu.

This will reset the base unit and the hanset now you can repeat the handset process to reset all other handsets. all handsets are set to base 1 .
Hope this helps
