Hi,

I have a potterton flamingo 2 and i cant seemed to get the central heating to come on. it's control by a thermostat in the kitchen. i still get hot water though which is set to come on each day.
when i try and turn the central heating on, i get nothing except a clicking noise from a box connected to the pipes that run from the boiler.

any ideas please??

Hi,

I'v a valliant ecotec plus 831,the central heating side is only heating up to 36-40 degrees no mater how far i move the stat up on the boiler,i can use the manual method to heat it up to as far as it will go,so I'm thinking the central heating stat is the problem which will mean a new circuit board,i did over turn it once so maybe this has busted it,any experience owith this problem and advice appreciated,

sounds like you have a faulty motorised valve.
you'll need to do some elecy tests with a meter.
