how can i adjust my automatic choke on my 1997 polo?

when starting off in my car when i let the engine revs drop when approaching junctions etc the engine cuts out is this the automatic choke and can i adjust it

No automatic choke as your car has fuel injection...have the coolant temperature sensor replaced and it will probably sort it - very common on these.
