on holiday, 1.5 diesel clio burst the radiator yesterday put radwell in and it went for 50 miles today using no water until i had to sit intraffic. The fan did not kick in and the car stopped . It resarted after 10 mins. I have to travel home 250 miles, is it possible to continue

Hi Terry
Sounds like your fan switch has packed up first check that the fuse hasn't blown,if the fuse is ok unplug the socket from the switch on the radiator and join the wires with a short bit of wire or wire clip then wrap well with insulation tape so not to short on bodywork this should make the fan work as soon as you turn the ignition on
