Pfaff 7550 Display gone?

My Pfaff 7550 display is dead. Everything else works just fine. It's not a case of darkened display or empty battery. In answer to a similar question on this site, someone suggested that the in-line fuse might be the cause. Can anyone tell me where the fuse, if there is one for the display only, might be located? (base board, programming board? What does it look like?) No service where I live but I'm adept at taking it apart (have manual and experience) and would rather take a board to have a component replaced than haul the machine for someone to fiddle with. Thanks for any tips anyone can offer.

Hello Mom 25,
There may well be an in line fuse on one of the boards probably the one behind the display, it is very small and is usually placed where the wires connect to the board, it is an anti surge fuse which means that any sudden upsurge of power the fuse will blow to protect the board but because you say the machine is okay I think either the connecter has dislodged itself on the board or the board has become sweaty which means a clean with a dry soft cloth, if you take the board out yourself make sure you do not put it on anything that attracts static.
