canon MV 930 digi camcorder?

I've been filming my flower beds in full bloom to send to a friend and also to keep a log of what's where when preparing for each season. To compare I've taken a video then Stiils on the SD card, no difference.

The camera is just over 1yr.1mth 11days old so it's not as though it's an old camcorder. The colours of the flowers are not anywhere near their true colour spectrum. eg: Reds ones come out more towards washy red or even toward orange. Yellows washy Yellow to white. Greens tint towards yellow. Blue towards washy mauve, even some of the ornamental grasses and lawn show yellow tint. I've tried shaded areas to see if it's sunlight causing it and no difference still colours not right.
Taken in weak not very bright sunlight and most with back to sun. I've tried many settings with similar results. Any ideas? should I give up photography?

I've given up on Canon as I sent Canon an email 5days ago and am still waiting. It's a bit like waiting for the petrol companies to drop their prices now oil is cheaper, and waiting goverment assistance in cutting tax on fuel, [Don't hold your breath].
Many thanks in anticipation.

Thanks Tony I always said the service centres are p's takers on their prices while flashing a camera near the service price. What a good way for them to encourage purchase of another camera. Seems with that sort of service price cameras are now throw away items.

I'll be looking at a Nikon coolpix mainly for stills it has a wider angle lens than the camcorder, I'll get my brother in law who lives in France to nip down to Carrefour see what their prices are. I bought my video camera in Le Clerc last year cheaper than here. With 5 cassettes, usb,TV link up, video transfer cable, Pinnacle studio 8 film maker 2x1GB 1x512mb SD cards, power/charger £215 the lot, Oh! forgot the free carry case big one, here I was quoted £199,99 for camera then by the time all others added on would have been £270. and they are end of line ones as the new model came out as they said in France.
