Whirlpool AKZ451 'STOP' FAULT?

I have a whirlpool TYPE: FCSM6, MODEL: AKZ451/IX/01, 2.3KW. It currently just says 'stop' on the clock display and does not do anything when i try and turn it on. the light inside the oven doesn't even turn on. There is still electricity getting to it as the clock works, any help would be appriciated, Thanks

Hi,
My oven has had this problem for almost a week now. Today I tried everything on the Internet, Turning knobs off and on, switches the same but no response.
So in frustration I hit the counter top above the readout and low and behold the dashes came on. My luck must be in, I am off to buy a lottery ticket.
Joking apart
I hope you all manage to to get it working.

After oven has been on for a couple of minutes, it trips the main fuse
Can you help

"STOP" on front display
Set All dials to zero. Pressed middle button (ie adjust the clock).
Don't know if mine is the AKZ451. 8 year old single fan assisted Whirlpool.
Sorted it for me also.
Tks Spen

I turned the oven off with the Red Isolator Switch on the wall, left it for 10 minutes, and switched it back on again, and all was well :)
Very strange though !!!

Had the same problem on my ANZ 161, could not reset and everone online was saying if you cannot reset it than, it could be a fault on the circuit board! A new board is around £120 to £160 to buy, I found that by just unplugging some of the connections to the circuit board and reconnecting it, fixed the problem.

4 yr old model with same 'stop' problem. Holding down middle button and repeated turning left dial resolved the error.

I have this same oven/grill with the same problem.
It was new in the Barratts apartment four years ago.
I have just had a repair man round who says its the circuit board cost circa £100!

Hold the middle button, push the first dial so it pops out, and do one full turn until it is back to "0" then push it back in and it should solve the problem!

If the above dont work, hold the middle button and turn the first dial in various combos etc, i just played around with it and it finally reset!
