BT Freestyle 65 handset?

My mother had a Freestyle 65 with two handsets. The base and one handset got smashed.

We have got a Freestyle 60 with just one handset and a base.

Will the remaining handset from my mother's phone work with our base?

Thanks ever so much for your time.

Thanks for your reply.

I tried that but it didn't work.

But I have got them registered with each other now.

I first had to de-register the additional hand set (as it was still set up with its old base unit) and the re-register it with the current base unit.

This is the method.

To de-register this handset:
Press in order: DIR R **** DIR

To re-register this handset:
Press PAGE on base unit for about 5 seconds until Power in Use light flashes, release PAGE

Should be good to go. It worked with mine (the ones above)

I am now wondering if this is the code for all types of additional handsets. And if any handset will work with my Freestyle 60 base unit.

As long as they are both DECT phones they will work. Put the 60 Base Station into registration mode then put the 65 Handset into registration mode and they will find each other.
