my renault clio 2004 quick shift / automatic version?

yesterday whilst driving the vehicle, two warning lights came on. (one like a mountain range, the other like a coiled spring.) I was unable to go back into automatic transmission and there were hardley any revs.(no more than 2000rpm)
any ideas what it could be ?

Hi its gone into DEFAULT,you need to go some where and have the codes read from the ecu.
The ecu has picked up a fault it could be a speed sensor falt, out of range or something worse.
It needs to be done quick though because default is also known as get you home mode so as it sounds its there to just get you home until the fault is fixed and no more other wise you could burn the gearbox out needing a full rebuild.
