Hotpoint CTD40 no heat, still going through the motions?

My Hotpoint CTD40 is still turning, and making all the right noises, but it has no heat. All the lights on the front flash and I have to turn it off.

Please advise if this is an expensive fault, and one which I could attempt to fix with the help of my soldering brother!

one of the thermostats is re settable in heater housing small hole at rear of thermostat set with ery small screwdriver just press through hole worked on mine
