how can i get my monitor to work?

when i switch on my computer and monitor i get power in both and my computer seems to be booting up normally. however there is no image on my monitor and it remains blank. initially all the green lights come on but then the main power light goes to orange/yellow.

If it is your graphics card and the monitor works on another pc...(sounds like its working ok).On boot up enter Safe Mode by pressing F8 .Once windows has started...right click on desktop and select properties>settings>Advanced>Monitor then in the heading "screen refresh rate" select 60mhz then Apply >ok all the way back to desktop and restart pc...If that dosnt sort it ...you may have to replace graphics card...Hope this helps.

Could be one of 2 things, the monitor itself, or your graphics card. Try the monitior in a different computer, and also try to think weather you changed any settings before this happened. If monitor works in another compter, then its you graphics card. I would think its the graphics card, as in my experience, monitors are pretty long lasting.
