Towa 500 & Sharp ERA570 PPLU?

Hi Mark
How do I find out the PLU numbers to make the price changes on these 2 registers. I have no manuals so am a bit in the dark as to what to do as per your previous instructions.

Ok. PLUs (price look-ups) are the item buttons on your machines. You need to make sure you have plenty of paper in the registers, as the printout can be long.

On the Towa, turn the key to P mode.
Press the button called 'PLU'
It should print the PLU numbers next to the names.

On the Sharp,
You need to use the character programming keysheet. It is a sheet with the alphabet and symbols on it. It normally lives on the keyboard under your normal keysheet. Fit the programming sheet to the keyboard before starting.
Turn the key to PGM2
Type 1200 X TL

The registers may print more PLUs than there is on the keyboard. this will depend upon how the memory has been allocated. Just ignore the others.

Once you have the printouts, you will be able to see how the numbers relate to the items on the keyboard. Choose a PLU to change, then apply it to the instructions I gave earlier.

Let me know if you have any problems.
