parkinson cowen oven-the grill not lighting?

the gas comes through and there is a spark but the grill does not stay alight

Does it have a solar panel type grill.Make sure it hasnt got a hole in the fret as i have had one of these go and it causes explosive ignition.If you do a lot of bacon/greasy foods etc under the grill the burner could be blocked.
