How can I fix my 2 stroke strimmer?

It starts easily but will not pick up and run at full speed. I have cleaned the plug, I have cleaned out the carb, I have changed the petrol and oil mix for new. It makes no difference if I remove the air filter or restrict air flow.
I know it is electronic ignition but could the timing have slipped?
It's a Ryobi 30cc.

what exactly is happening? does it not want to rev? have u checked the fuel filter? simple things first.....
does it die when u pull the throttle? a little more info can go a long way. adjusting the carb, could be to much fuel. if u want u can email me if tht fails and give me more info.

have you ajusted the high speed jet?

Toolmantim, September 2008
It's a Ryobi- oh dear.

To be honest unless you want to invest in a new carb I wouldn't bother and buy a new one. Not a Ryobi though.
