can you show me a diagram of 1995 75 ford escort van 1.8 rear door lock mechanism.
The door will not shut as the actuating piece of the lock will not locate on the other door lock mechanism.

This has only happened since the doors were tied together with rope.
Which leads me to believe that something has been miss-placed

pull handle and using a screwdriver at same time, insert it into latch [where it engages with peg ] and flick mechanism open. it should work now!
