intake air temperature sensor on e36 316 coupe?

hi
can anyone tell me where the intake temperature sensor is located on a bmw 316i coupe e36 r reg
i can not find it any where or am i just looking in the wrong place
please help

You two are talking about two different sensors, the one with the hoses on the airbox is the intake air temperature sensor, and the one in the brake duct is the ambient temperature sensor. The one in the airbox is used in conjunction with the mass air and oxygen sensor readings to determine the fuel mixture, the ambient sensor is just used for the OBC display.

I dont know if its the same because i have a 325i but mine is located ont eh back of the airbox. it has two hoses going to it.
