I have dented the door on my car by hitting a post in the store car park it is not a deep dent but it is about 2 feet long. It also has a small scrape.
My car is a silver Ford Fiesta
you may be able to push the dent out by removing the interior panels.The scrape may be polished out depending on how deep the scratch is,other than that the car may have to be repainted.

the best way to fix it is to drill a hole in the dent . and then use a slide hammer to pull the dent out . then just fill the dent and scrape with filler trying to get a smooth finish then sand with wet n dry paper rub the whole panel down.then clean the area whith thiners to remove any dust .then prime it.get a colour mach done then respay the damaged area leave to dry for a while then rub down again useing the wet and dry sand paper (use water)then polish to to a shine.failing that take it to a body repair shop.
