my srs light on my rover 45 2000, is always on?

my SRS light on my dashboard is always on i thought maybe it is a lose wire somewhere? its a rover 45 year 2000, petrol please can anyone help!

Hi there not so sure if this might be a help but my mum has a 96 Land Rover that had the same problem. Having it taken and seen by European specialists, they told her that the warning light was a problem with the airbags. They said that the box that controls the airbags was faulty from a accident, so if an accident was to occur the airbags won't help.

Hi Davina, have look at the wiring under the front seats (it will be in a Yellow covering) sometimes the connectors get pulled apart when the seat is adjusted, if thats ok then you will need a diagnostic code reader to find the fault, most good independant garages will have the kit to do this, expect to pay around £20~30 just to have the fault code read!!
