Hi Paul, in that case first check all the vacuum pipes connected to the inlet manifold for splits/holes with the engine idling flex all the pipes and listen for a "hissing" if this is all OK, then it could be a number of things like, throttle position sensor, mass airflow sensor, engine coolant temp sensor, fuel pressure regulator, injectors So your best bet is to get the car connected to a diagnostic reader and this will narrow down the faulty item otherwise you will be just replacing components blind so a £30 diagnostic readout will save you money in the long run!!
