hi i have a 2.9 v6 automatic espace that has packed up
it goes in reverse but it wont go forwards, usually when changing from park to drive there is a noise that sounds like a electric motor for about three seconds but know it doesnt do that, I guess its a common problem as around 3 of the espaces on ebay have the same problem
I had to drive it over a mile in reverse when it broke which was fun but i wouldnt wanna drive backwards everyday

Hi very very common problem the forward clutch or to be more technical the k1 clutch has either broken the drum or burnt the clutch out.
The cause is either the pressure sensor pad or the solenoids inside the gearbox so it,s not a straight forward problem.
It will need a full rebuild due to the amount of swarf.
