fit a belt to a dyson dc04?

how do you replace the belt on a dyson dco4. ican see where it should fit but work out how to make it fit

this is certainly not easy. we had an awful time trying to fit one a while back. do you have the instruction leaflet that came with it? not that it helps much!! If you ring dyson on their freephone 0800 298 0298 7am - 10pm they will talk you through it. hope this helps.
