Rehault scenic 1999 judder when pulling away?

Hi my wifes car judders when pulling away and sometimes hesitates about 60MPH. It doesnt have pencil coils. The HT leads have been tested, spark plugs been replaced and tryed a new coilpack without any luck.I have had it on the diognostic machine and the only error was some heat sensor which the garage didnt think had anything to do with the problem. If anyone has any ideas it would be much appriatiated

Hey Paul, you are absolutly spot on, i was at the point that i was seriously considering scrapping our scenic cos when you put your foot down you got whiplash lol, had a look for the pipe you mentioned are low and behold it is split, i went to halfords instead of renault and bought some braided fuel hose a cut it slightly longer, i think they keep spliting because of the engine movement. Top marks Paul and a very merry xmas to you and your family (i think Steven was after some business in these hard up times lol)

have a look at the air pipe going from the top back of engine that plugs into like a block fixed to the chasis nr the underneath of the right wiper its only about 10mm thick and about 10" long i had the same problem and the pipe was split letting in too much air sorry i dont know all the tech names but i hope this helps. i have gone through three of these pipes in as many months its a comon problem buy a new one £14 renault not one from scrappers

Basically if there is a judder and a loss of power the engine is on its last legs. Take the car slowly to the nearest mechanic or Renault dealer for a new engine. If you can't offord this then the car will end up overdoing it and catching fire.
