disconnect the glode for the airbag light, thats what a dodgy dealer would do.

Airbag light stays on by a sensor so it has to be reset. Do we buy a book to find out the resetting method?

Therefore there is a fault in the airbag system, you will have to take it to a dealer to get it fixed. I wouldn't drive around with it faulty you never know what might happen.
