I have a 2004 mondeo tdci zetec 115bhp its just done 72k and the clutch started slipping and in the end the car stopped moving so i had to be towed home the mechanic i use told me to replace the dual mass fllywheel to a solid flywheel to stop any further problems i found the whole kit online for £390 and just paid £300 labour i just hope i don't have anymore problems is this true that no more problems?

do u now how much it will cost to fit both parts at a garage

a clutch flywheel is about £220+ vat, New clutch is about £170+ vat make sure you use genuine ford mass flywheel and a LUK clutch kit thats it.

Hi, this one is easy to answer, its the mass flywheel to be the problem im afraid, although im not too afraid because its your money not mine, a new mass flywheel and all 3 clutch parts to complete the job oh and you might as well wash out the starter motor with brake cleaner while your about it.

do u now how much a clutch or a fly weel will cost

Hi clutch rattle is a common fault on this model but a more common fault is the dual mass fly wheel.
Have it looked at professionally, however they may not be able to tell you exactly which one it is until the gearbox is removed.
