Homelite UT10901A chain question?

I am trying to tighten the chan but whenever I get it tight and tighten the cover bolts the chain loosens again. Im wondering if the tightening pin might be shaved down and sliding out of the hole. If this is the case please let me know if this piece can be replaced and if so where I can find it and what the part number is? thanks

Try lightly nipping up the cover bolts and holding the bar up to take up the play in the bar slots while adjusting. Tension up the chain, so as to keep the adjusting peg in contact with the forward side of the locating hole, which takes up the slack in the adjusting screw. If chain is overtight when cover is tightened, slack off, then retension. I have usually found that a little trial and error is needed.
