Try searching e-bay for "wiper linkage punto" - make sure to select the right part for your model (which would seem to be 1999 - 2003 - you'll see it's a kind of arm thing but it seems like there's a motor attached as part of the mechanism which may explain why the garage is quoting such a high fix price. It may also be time consuming to access (bulk of cost may be for labour), as the part itself appears to be available for a quoted £42.88 in the listing I looked at. Depending on what's broken, you might get away with replacing the "snap on push rod" part instead, quoted at £27.90
