2 or 3 options ;-
1) Pull the flywheel, clean or replace points and condenser. Check primary coil resistance with points OPEN - should be about 8K.
2) Forget the points etc. Fit an electronic conversion module and forget future ignition problems. Flywheel removal not required.
3) If the coil is OUTSIDE the flywheel, replace it with an electronic version from a later engine.
