I have a ford transit 2 litre turbo diesel, it is front wheel drive.I have a problem with the gear box, it crunches in to third, and jumps out of first and second (when first selecting but once in it's fine). I was just wondering if anyone knows weather it is the gearbox that needs changing or another fault?

i have a 20004 ford transit. the gearbox is fine it goes in all the gears fine but the gear stick as lot of play it how do i do i fix it.

More likely to be a fault with the gear selector cables that go from the gear stick to the gearbox.
