Upper thread brakes constantly on Singer Tempo 50?

As per title, the upper thread keeps breaking on my Singer Tempo 50. It started doing it more regularly as of late, so I'm wondering if there's something wrong with the tension?

I don't have the manual and I'm not experienced in how to fix a sewing machine since it's been working well until recently.

Hello Mikael,
Make sure the top tension is about 5, you should just be able to pull the thread through with slight resistence, make sure there are no sharp edges on the needle plate, bobbin case, make sure you have put the needle in the right way round, very common fault that one.
