vectra overheating?

my x reg vectra seems to be overheating very quickly and losing alot of coolant. the car is alright on open runs where traffic is light but if stuck in traffic will overheat very quickly

could be air lock in cooling system...drain and flush as servicing measure. also check rad fan switch is cutting the fan in, as should kick in at 92deg wen stat opens and engine is idling...check cam belt tension as it drives water pump, and try some k-seal or similar in case theres a leak in the block or head gaskets going...the coolant is first job tho...if its full of crap, it wont flow properly and rust and sludge can create blockages. hope that helps
