I have recently moved into new flat with Baxi Solo 3 50 PF boiler. There is a Landis & Gyr programmer (don't know model) for it, but whenever I choose the option for Hot Water only on the central heating also comes on despite being OFF on the programmer.

Can't find instructions anywhere so don't know if fault with programmer or if I'm doing something wrong.

It either needss to be reset (just insert a pen into the reset switch under the timer cover). or has been installed as a "system 10" in which case you need to have the timer system reinstalled by a plumber.

sounds more like a valve fault to me, any silver boxes buzzing anywhere???? :-)

that would be my first check.
