check bush in selector yoke [bottom of gearlever] for excessive wear-it may even be missing,if worn you will need to remove gearlever, then 4 bolts holding housing to gearbox and remove,then remove yoke from selector shaft [allen screw] you can then change bush assy,secured by circlip. bias springs holding lever in are adjustable by the bolts with lock nuts on under spring-adjust heavy spring so that 3&4 engage smoothly without pushing lever sideways,small spring just puts small ammount of tension on lever.also whilst lever is out check where it slides at bottom to make sure its free to slide.
