Fridge not cold enough?

We have a built in fridge freezer, the freezer works fine but the fridge does not always seem to be cold enough, often resulting in the milk going sour or food going off quickly. I have turned the thermostat to its coldest setting(7) but nothing seems to happen.

can you let me know why

Just fitted a new thermostat today, cost me £29 including the vat. This has fixed the problem, i noticed when i viewed the old thermostat that the resistor on the back had burnt out.

Not sure if I have answered this question but we had to get out the Zanussi engineer, who after some tests said it needed to be regassed, it was done on site.
