my garmin 300 nuvi no sound ?

will not work unless its through ear phones is this a software error how do i fix?

If you have recently downloaded new software, from main menu go to settings, local or locale, then touch the name of the voice you require from the list. OK and then go back to map. If no voice was selected no voices would have been heard. This was what happened to me after installing new maps/software. Hope this helps.

sound on my nuvi 660 went off i found out by chance i had hit the off on button twice quickly switching it through to fm in the truck so also by chance i got it back on
