Zanussi Fridge Freezer is blowing the main fuse trip?

My Zanussi Fridge Freezer ZFC 61/27 blows the trip switch on the main fuse board. It just started to do this out of the blue.

Is it repairable? What's the most likly cause. Have checked the plug and bulb both OK but now I'm stumped!

Any ideas?

you would need a megga to test components to diagnose this fault.anything can cause the trip to go out so its not easy to diagnose here.

if my main fuse trip you mean an RCD (this will generally be a double width trip switch with a button on it marked test or T this would indicate an earth leakage problem with your fridge. if this is the case the general diagnosis would be that the compressor has failed and the fridge is beyond repair.
if you are lucky it may just be moisture has got into the electrical connections or the main power flex is damaged.
good luck
