Just taken apart corsa engine 1.4sri, as we thought the head gasket had gone, but that seamed ok

don't know why water has got into the oil in the top half of the engine and formed this creamy sludge

we did have trouble taken 3 head bolts out back middle 3, could shift them but all the others came out easily

Obviously cant say where the oil is mixing with the water, as you say the head gasket looks ok. However if some of the head bolts came out easy and others were difficult to shift, it is just possible that the head has warped, this would be the same as the head gasket going, but not so obvious. Worth getting it checked before you rebuild.
