F09 error code on my condensor dryer ?

I have just started getting an F09 error code and beeping on my Siemens condensor dryer. It is only one year old and has worked really well to this point. We have cleaned the filter and emptied the water. Can we fix this ourselves or do we need a professional?

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.. I'm not at all technical and I managed to take off the back of my dryer ( bought a cheap set of screwdrivers with Torx 20) in TKMAXX, pried off the back (unplug first of course) found the red reset button (only button visible) and hey presto it worked again! Must keep the filters spotless now as that was probably what triggered the fault.

Tonight (18th March 2013) I used the explanation given by diy4br (Dec 2008) and guess what, it works - certainly saved me £60 call out charge for the Siemens 'Engineer' to do exactly what I did this evening - many thanks.

GRAZIE!!! Avevo lo stesso problema ed ha funzionato!!!
Io ho una Siemens modello WT46E300IT/02
Il pulsantino rosso è un reset del termico, ho premuto quello ed è ripartito tutto!
Grazie ancora!!!!!!

I have just done what was recommended. Took back panel off and pressed a really small button, almost didn't see it. Brilliant. Took about 20 mins. Just hope I can cancel the insurance I just took out. Only found this site today. Thanks :)

problema F09 Siemens WT46S511IT/05
si tratta di resettare il sensore di riscaldamento.
risolto smontando il pannello posteriore.
togliere la tensione, smontare il pannello .
servono due chiavi modello torx T20 e T15
premere il pulsantino rosso di ripristino e rimontare il pannello.

Been there - done that...
First of all you start cleaning the condensor regularly :-(. Second you remove the back panel (after unplugging!) - you might want to vacuum behind the panel while it's off. Locate the thermal fuse on the heating unit and press the reset button. Put the back panel in place and have a beer.
